GPCA™ Jeep Wrangler JL Accessories Guide

This guide shows which GPCA™ gear fits your Jeep Wrangler JL by model year, door count and top. The big split is 2024: from that year on, the JL has side-curtain airbags in the roll bar, so it takes different grab handles.

Anchor PRO note: the 6-pack with nuts is for the JK (2007–2018); the 6-pack without nuts is for the JL, because JL tubs have integrated M8 threads.

Airbags and the 2024+ roll bar

Starting with the 2024 model year, the Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT have side-curtain airbags in the roll bar. The 2024+ bars have no fabric padding: a plastic cover sits on the inside (the airbag deployment side), with roll-bar metal on the outside. That is why the GP-Grip PRO, LITE and Universal do not fit 2024+ bars in any use. The GP-Grip AIR is built for them: its straps loop on D-rings mounted with the Jeep factory screws and lie on the outside of the bar, clear of the airbag.

Install

GP-Grip AIR (2024+): about 5 minutes per handle, Torx screwdriver required

  1. Remove the top (Freedom) panels for easy access. With a medium-length Torx bit you can install with the panels on.
  2. Loop the straps through the handle and the D-rings.
  3. Mount the top 2 D-rings with the Jeep factory screws.
  4. Wrap the straps around the outside of the roll bar.
  5. Fasten the bottom 2 screws.
  6. Adjust strap length if needed, then press the strap Velcro firmly onto the handle so it holds tight.

GP-Grip PRO (through 2023): 1–2 minutes, no tools

The PRO straps onto the roll bar with industrial Velcro straps. No drilling and nothing bolted into the vehicle.

Anchor PRO and GP-Star bolts

Remove the factory hardtop bolt and thread in the GPCA™ bolt (M8-1.25 × 25 mm), rubber washer first. Hand-tighten until snug, 158 in-lb; snug it like a bike seat post, don't crank it.

JL questions

Which GPCA™ bolt goes where on a JL hardtop?

Use the Anchor PRO T-Handle at the rear and tie-down spots, and the GP-Star at the tight top bolts (usually 2 on the shell). The Anchor PRO T-Handle is 62 mm (about 2.44 in) wide and will not rotate in those tight spots; the GP-Star head is about 1.5 in. Running both on one Jeep is normal.

Does the Transformer Cargo Organizer fit a JL 4xe?

Yes. The Transformer Cargo Organizer fits the Wrangler JK and JL, including the 4xe. It does not fit the Ford Bronco.
