5. Is the GP Grip Air compatible with my vehicle?

Yes, the GP Grip Air is designed for 2024+ Jeep Wrangler models with side curtain airbags. If you have an earlier model, consider the GP Grip PRO or GP Grip LITE Universal.

6. What tools are needed for installation?

For installation, you will need Torx screwdrivers as recommended in the owner's manual. It is also helpful to have an extender if you need to install the handle with the roof and freedom panels on.

7. How do I install the GP Grip Air, including long and short straps for front and rear?

Installation is simple:

1. Position the handle on the roll bar with the arrow-end facing the rear.
2. Secure the straps by threading them through the handle and tightening them.
3. Adjust for balance, ensuring the handle is stable and does not swing.
4. The 2 long straps are for the rear mounting points on each side.
5. The short strap pairs with a long one on one side.
6. A small return of the bottom strap is normal.
7. Adjust the D-ring position on top and Velcro on the strap to tighten the back mount and balance it.

For earlier Jeep models (CJ YJ TJ LJ) or Jeep-type UTV, the GP Grip LITE Universal handle will fit your roll bar or rack from 1"-5.5"(max) diameter.

8. Can I use the GP Grip Air on my Gladiator 2024+?

Yes! However, use the GP Grip AIR 2-Pack for the FRONT (not the 4-Pack) for Gladiator 2024+ models. Order here.

9. How do I install the GP Grip Air with long and short straps for front and rear?

• The 2 long straps are for the rear mounting points on each side.
• The short strap pairs with a long one on one side.
• A small return of the bottom strap is normal.
• Adjust the D-ring position on top and Velcro on the strap to tighten the back mount and balance it.

10. Does the GP Grip Air come in different colors?

Yes! The GP Grip Air is available in 12 colors, allowing you to match your Jeep’s interior or exterior.

 

11. I have the Sky One-Touch power top (SOT) on my Jeep, will the GP-Grip fit under it?

It's too narrow around the roll bar under the Sky One Touch Top to install the GP Grip PRO/ AIR  as mentioned on the product page, but you can still get the GP Back Grip and other JL accessories here.

 

12. How to maintain GP-Grip grab handle and avoid it from fading and damaging?

Spray UV protectant before going topless and wash the salt water off after a beach drive. Longtime UV/ salt exposure or to the polyester material can cause de-coloring and damage over time, Depends on how much UV exposure is, Jeep owners usually wash the saltwater off if any, and apply Aerospace 303 Marine Grade protectant to our GP Grip wrap and all interior fabrics on a Jeep.
