Notes by model

• 2024+ Wrangler JL and 4xe: GP-Grip AIR is required, and it fits all four positions.
• 2024+ Gladiator JT: GP-Grip AIR fits the front roll-bar positions only, so get the 2-Pack. The rear positions use the factory bolt-on handles.
• Earlier Jeeps and other bars: GP-Grip Universal fits any roll bar except bars with an airbag. If your bar has no airbag and measures 0.75 to 5.5 inches across, Universal fits.
• Sky One-Touch power top: no GP-Grip model (Universal, PRO or AIR) fits under this top because of space. Use the GPCA™ Back-Grip on the passenger headrest instead.

Ford Bronco notes

• GP-Grip PRO, AIR and Universal do not fit any Ford Bronco. The Bronco roll bar sits sealed against the door window, so there is no gap to clamp a strap around.
• GPCA does not make a roll-bar handle for the Bronco, and Universal is not a workaround.
• For a Bronco, use the GPCA™ Back-Grip PRO or Back-Grip LITE. They mount with rings on removable headrest posts.

Which GP-Grip fits a 2024 or newer Jeep Wrangler JL?

The GPCA™ GP-Grip AIR. It is the only GP-Grip for 2024+ Wrangler JL and 4xe, 2-door or 4-door, because those roll bars have side-curtain airbags. GP-Grip PRO and GP-Grip Universal do not fit a 2024+ JL in any use.

Which GP-Grip fits a 2024 or newer Jeep Gladiator JT?

The GPCA™ GP-Grip AIR 2-Pack, for the front roll-bar positions only. The rear positions on a 2024+ Gladiator use the factory bolt-on handles, so choose the 2-Pack, not the 4-Pack.

Which GP-Grip fits a 2018–2023 Jeep Wrangler JL or 4xe, or a 2020–2023 Gladiator JT?

The GPCA™ GP-Grip PRO. It installs tool-free with industrial Velcro straps, with nothing bolted into the vehicle, and it fits the front and rear bars.

Which GP-Grip fits a 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK?

The GPCA™ GP-Grip PRO, in 2-door or 4-door. It installs tool-free with industrial Velcro straps and fits the front and rear bars.

Which GP-Grip fits an older Jeep (CJ, YJ, TJ, LJ) or another roll bar?

The GPCA™ GP-Grip Universal. It fits any roll bar or sport bar from 0.75 to 5.5 inches in diameter, as long as the bar has no airbag. That includes CJ, YJ, TJ and LJ Jeeps, UTVs and lifted trucks. It never fits a 2024+ Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT, it does not fit a Ford Bronco, and it does not fit under the Sky One-Touch power top.

Why can't I use the GP-Grip PRO or Universal on a 2024+ Jeep?

2024+ Wrangler and Gladiator roll bars have side-curtain airbags. They have no fabric padding: the inside face has a plastic cover, which is the deployment side, and the outside is roll-bar metal. A strap-mounted handle such as the GP-Grip PRO or Universal can block or interfere with the roll-bar airbag, so only the GPCA™ GP-Grip AIR is designed for 2024+ airbag roll bars. AIR lays its straps on the outside, metal side of the bar, clear of the inside deployment path.

How do I install the GP-Grip AIR, and how long does it take?

Plan on about 5 minutes per handle. You need a Torx screwdriver. On each handle, the top 2 straps loop on the top D-rings, and those D-rings mount to the 2 top factory screws. The 2 bottom straps bolt to the bottom of the roll bar with factory screws. A universal screwdriver extension for the Torx bit lets you leave the top panels on. Without one, you may need to remove the freedom panels for access.

Does a GP-Grip fit the Ford Bronco?

No. GP-Grip PRO, AIR and Universal do not fit any Ford Bronco. The Bronco roll bar sits sealed against the door window, so there is no gap to clamp a strap around. For a Bronco, use the GPCA™ Back-Grip PRO or Back-Grip LITE, which mount to removable headrest posts with rings.

Does any GP-Grip fit under the Sky One-Touch power top?

No. No GP-Grip model (Universal, PRO or AIR) fits under the Sky One-Touch power top, because the space around the roll bar is too narrow. Use the GPCA™ Back-Grip on the passenger headrest instead.
